I tend to agree with most of what was said but was surprised by the percentage of people doing payroll manually. How do you manage that with all the vagaries of the various pieces of legislation.
I agree fully that all Taxable items should be considered part of Gross Earnings as so many companies pick and choose what will and won’t be included.
I would also like to see all Leave treated the same way. Why should a days holiday be calculated any differently to a days sick, or alternative.
I don’t agree with the idea that we should scrap the requirement for an Alternative Day if you have to work on a Public Holiday. We all need our days off and not getting them is just not good.
